Before we get more into the detail of this, let’s understand what is Swift?
What’s Swift?
Swift is a programme that Apple introduced in 2014. This is an iOS development software that is mostly used by the app developers. This programme is for those users who are unable to develop an app because of the complexity involved in it.
To ease the entire process and free developers from the complexity of the iPhone app development, Swift was used frequently. This programme, however, was not free until recently, making things easy for iPhone app developers.
Apple mentioned in a statement that their software, Swift, is not only expressive but interactive and concise as well. This software is a powerful weapon for those developers who are willing to build an iPhone app. This works along with Objective-C, which is not so user-friendly.
Creating app gets easy:
Since Swift has become open source, it is quite easy for developers now to make an iPhone app. They can easily recreate the compiler, based on their requirement. This has another advantage, iPhone apps can now be compatible with non-iOS interfaces.
Swift is widely used by developers as it’s clean, modern, and powerful apart from being interactive and simple. Though, not to mention, there are certain limitations to the source code.
Making integration simpler:
The advantage of making Swift open source means making apps to sync with Siri and many others. This has given an opportunity to developers to design new apps without worrying about the platform.
Now, it would be quite easy to identify bugs and errors thus making it a common man language. With this move, the codes are now available to the public, who can reshape it based on their understanding. This have initiated the start of new products and improvement of this language.
Furthermore, there is no issue related to copyright would exist, thus lifting any restrictions that were there previously. By making Swift an open source, Apple have made a strong move which would further improve the language only.
